LUMIN has released a new model of network Hi-Res streamer and transport U2 .
The model is housed in a body completely machined from aluminum, and the stabilized power supply for the first time for the company’s streamers is built on the basis of a toroidal transformer.
LUMIN U2 can handle 32-bit/768kHz PCM and DSD512 streams , which are clocked by four low phase noise crystal clocks. Volume control is handled by a precision IC from Leedh Processing , and the new CPU provides more options for signal processing, upsampling, and future device upgrades.
To output a digital signal, LUMIN U2 has all the main types of connectors – coaxial RCA, optical, balanced AES / EBU, coaxial BNC and USB. The overall dimensions of LUMIN U2 are 350 x 60.5 x 350 mm and the device weighs 6 kg .
