Singularity ONI: The world’s first headphones with silicon MEMS drivers

Singularity ONI

Singularity Industries has released ONI in-ear headphones that use silicon-based drivers.

Each earpiece contains two xMEMS Montara capsules containing 48 emitting silicon surfaces that respond to musical impulses 30-150 times faster than any other emitter on the market. Also, this solution allows you to almost completely get rid of phase distortions. The headphone shells are machined from grade 5 titanium alloy on a CNC machine, the weight of one headphone is just over 5 grams .

ONI have an open acoustic design, which reduces the load on the eardrum. The emitters are mounted on a 3D printed elastomer core. Headphones with xMEMS drivers require a powerful dedicated amplifier to work properly .
