BenQ ‘s product range has been expanded with a new model of professional projector – W8500 . The developer has priced it at 56,420 yuan (~$7,300).
The new projector is capable of projecting images in 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) with a peak brightness of 2600 nits. The company announced 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color palette . HDR technology with extended dynamic range is supported.
There is currently little information about the technical characteristics of the projector. To connect the W8500 to a content source, users can use HDMI 2.1 and USB Type-A connectors . There is also a standard 3.5mm audio input. It is likely that the new projector supports a large number of streaming services.
BenQ W8500 has a body with smooth edges and corners, made in dark gray tones, and the front panel has a ribbed surface. Judging by the image, this panel serves for air cooling of internal components.
