The release of the DJI Mini 5 Pro drone is expected very soon. A number of sources have published its specifications and cost. The new product will receive a number of advanced functions that were not previously available in the DJI Mini series.

The weight of the copter will be up to 249 grams (marked C0) which means that in most countries you do not need special permits to fly.
The main feature is the new 1-inch sensor (with a 24mm F/1.8 lens ) that promises improved video and photo quality. Some believe that it will be able to replace larger drones, such as the DJI Air 3S, for professional shooting.
It is also possible to shoot smooth video in high resolution 4K at 120 frames per second . At the same time, the new product is expected to have a wide dynamic range – more details in light and dark areas of the frame. This also gives freedom in color correction and allows you to squeeze the most out of each video.
DJI Mini 5 Pro features an advanced obstacle avoidance system . The front LiDAR sensor and omnidirectional sensors make it as safe as possible, helping to avoid collisions even in complete darkness. This same smart system, known from the Air 3S and Mavic 4, allows the Mini 5 Pro to safely return home (RTH) even indoors, skillfully avoiding furniture and wires.
Like the older Mavic 4S, the drone’s gimbal rotates 330 degrees and tilts 225 degrees , allowing you to shoot from any angle. An additional shooting mode with a telephoto lens effect (48mm) will allow you to change the angle and frame scenes more flexibly.
If you already have a Mini 3 Pro or Mini 4 Pro, your old batteries will fit the Mini 5 Pro . It has quick-release propellers – no tools required, just push and turn, which is great for travel.
Quiet Operation – New low-noise attachments make the drone virtually silent, earning it the nickname “mini stealth drone.” It’s the perfect choice for urban or outdoor shooting, minimizing sound noise.
Automatic start – the drone turns on automatically when unfolded. And for the fastest shooting, it can be started with one button, even without a controller (like the DJI Neo and Flip models), freeing the pilot’s hands during the most spontaneous moments.
The proprietary OcuSync 4+ system guarantees a stable signal, and the flight time will be up to 36 minutes (with an extended battery, apparently – up to 50 minutes of flight).
Expected prices
Base model (DJI Mini 5 Pro with standard controller): $899–$999. The price of the base model is expected to increase by 15-30% compared to its predecessor, given the larger 1-inch sensor and improved LiDAR technology.
Fly More Combo (with DJI RC 2 or RC-N3): $1,199–$ 1,499.
Likewise, a more significant price increase is predicted for the Fly More Combo due to its expanded capabilities.
DJI Mini 5 Standard and Extended Battery Prices . According to the latest leaks, the DJI Mini 5 Pro will have the same two battery types: the standard Intelligent Flight Battery and the upgraded Battery Plus for longer flight time. Here are the details and prices:
Standard Battery: Priced at just $69, this is a lightweight and budget option that allows the drone to remain in the category of up to 249 grams.
Battery Plus: Costs $ 99. For a little more, you get increased flight time for long shoots, adventures, or wedding videography.
Particularly good news for those watching their budget: despite all the news about tariffs and inflation, prices for accessories and batteries have remained virtually unchanged, with only minor fluctuations.
So there shouldn’t be any nasty surprises in the form of a sharp price increase. The cost of such important items as propellers, charging hubs and service plans remains the same.
