Samsung has revealed the characteristics of the Exynos 1380 single-chip platform by posting them on its website.
The new platform received eight cores, though not the most modern ones. These are four ARM Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.4 GHz and four ARM Cortex-A55 cores running at 2 GHz. The Mali-G68 MP5 GPU, introduced in 2022, is responsible for the visual component. The built-in NPU (Neural Processing Unit) has a performance of 4.9 TOPS. It also reports support for 5G networks, GPS / GLONASS systems, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 3.1 flash memory, displays with a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz and cameras with a resolution of up to 200 MP. SoC is produced using a 5nm process.

In terms of performance, the Samsung Exynos 1380 is reminiscent of the Snapdragon 778G platform from two years ago. This means that in a single-threaded test of the Geekbench benchmark, the new SoC from the South Korean brand will show a result in the region of 700 points, in a multi-threaded test – about 2500 points.
According to unconfirmed information, Exynos 1380 will form the basis of the Samsung Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 smartphones.
